Primacy Care are looking for trustworthy, enthusiastic and compassionate Care Assistants, to provide home care in Cardiff that enables service users to live as independently as possible in their own home.
Main Responsibilities
As a Care Assistant, duties will vary depending on each client’s individual care plan. These may include the following:
Personal Care - personal care involves all aspects of daily living which can include support with oral care, bathing/showering or bed baths, and toileting
Domestic Duties - domestic tasks such as food preparation and cooking, light household tasks such as changing beds, laundry/ironing, changing and taking out the bins, dusting, vacuuming and washing up
Social Duties - such as shopping or running errands, escorting to appointments, and encouraging interaction both in and out of the house
Night Sitting - providing care services throughout the night
Medication administration
Respite care
Availability to work some early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays are required on a rota system. However, flexible working patterns are available.
Experience is always desirable but not essential as full in-house training is provided, where you'll learn about manual handling, medication administration, health and safety.
We can offer you
£9 to £15 per hour, dependent on experience (including time and a half on bank holidays and double time on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day)
